Our HAHMP gala was a blast and we would like to thank all our corporate partners for their contribution and supporting this very special event. The night started with a cocktail reception at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in the Galleria where our silent auction drew many people to the tables displaying some wonderful items. Later on that night a big round of applause greeted Minerva Perez, 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree, as she stepped up on stage to receive her award. Minerva, now a co-host and partner of Latino Talk TV, was previously an anchor with KRTK-TV for 15 years. Before that, she was an anchor and reporter with KTLA-TV in Los Angeles but as Minerva said, ìI ain't finished yetî.
