The Houston
Association of Hispanic Media Professionals elected a new board this
week. Art Rascon, channel 13 anchor, was elected president of the
Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals at a membership
meeting on Monday, Aug. 10. Also elected to the board are Daniella
Guzman, channel 2 anchor, as vice president; Frank Morales, Telemundo
Accountant, as treasurer; Frida Villalobos, communications specialist
at the Houston area women’s center, as scholarship chair;
Sybil
Moncivais, Community Affairs Coordinator at Univision, as Membership
Chair; Marine Hernandez, a freelance journalist and former Univision
anchor, as secretary; and, Sandra Fernandez, Manager of public
relations for the Houston Public Library, will be in charge of the Web
site.
